I saw Neptune in Aries manifest at the early childhood school I work at. Coming back from the weekend, the energy is higher and louder in every classroom, usually quiet kids are suddenly yelling with the rest, four year olds on the playground are acting out battle scenes. I felt Neptune in Aries this week, watching a sports game (rare occurrence) and appreciating the total engagement and self application of the players, the competition, the background of drums and chants. Like I could suddenly understand what people love about sports, and an instinct grew inside of me to get competitive in some large-scale game of my life, to move from spectator to player.
Neptune is subtle, suggestive, easy to miss. An undercurrent that changes the ship’s course but you might blame it on the wind. A force that drags us in her direction, and then we wonder how we got there. A far outer planet, Neptune moves us all together and defines eras. In Pisces, we were inclined to merge together, to integrate foreign perspectives and philosophies into our own, to find a common worldview. Aries, hot and self interested, welcomes Neptune and provides us with a drive to experience ourselves instead of others; to get out of the backseat and have a presence in the way the world changes.
Thinking of what Neptune in Aries might bring, some of what comes to my mind (now until 2039):
Religious and spiritual revolutions; missionary efforts to spread religious ideas; new, significant schools of religious and spiritual thought arising; religious associations becoming more visible (resurgence in popularity of worn religious garments, new schools of thought including visually distinct elements); religious and spiritual conflict, decline in acceptance of differing beliefs; rise in embodied, literal spiritual practices, like acts of charity and mutual aid
Shadowboxing; fighting invisible enemies (personal: inner conflict, confronting your own perceptions of self and world, a sense of fighting a force that you cannot touch) (global: indirect warfare through technology, biology, especially misinformation or propaganda, covert operations and mis-blame); psychological warfare; inclination towards deception and manipulation in conflicts
Away from the void, towards the tangible; artistic revolutions; strong subculture rejection of artificial intelligence and AI art; resurgence in value of individuality and distinction from the group; nostalgic art and culture; trend towards physical media (CD’s, print art, magazines, DVDs etc); art and culture that revolves around conflict (global wars, culture wars, fascism, interpersonal conflict)
Me, so different from you; shift away from globalization and neoliberalism, towards regions/nations/groups prioritizing individual interests; rise in awareness of the flaws of neoliberalism; fascism and attempts to control ideas and people; strong resistance and rejection of control; fights over visions of the future, on all scales; attempts at self reliance (stepping out of trade agreements, discussion of States leaving the US union, personal emphasis on financial freedom from work and from relatives, homesteading and self sufficiency, owning your own business or means); regions, nations and Indigenous peoples working to overcome colonialism and imperialism, gain full sovereignty where it lacks, political movements of this sentiment growing in popularity
Neptune in Aries provides a collective unconscious that absolutely rejects the looming, high-tech dystopian future concepts; refuses monotony, dislikes the manufactured, has no interest in the sidelines. Under this transit, we claim the power to define and participate in the human experience. Let me know how where it falls in your chart and how you think it may show up for you, and a reflection on what you experienced under Neptune in Pisces <3
This has been my favorite post so far. thank you!
This helps me zoom out whenI have been too zoomed in! I'm going to hold onto the idea of an "empty threat"
