Celebrating the New Moon in Gemini

This is a lovely new moon, welcoming heavier fire and air influences back into the cosmos. Saturn has arrived in Aries at last, Mercury is newly dignified in Gemini.

With the Sun and Moon in early Gemini, there is life to be found in endless, numerous possibilities right now. Gemini energy shapeshifts, like an allstar debate team member; with enough applied wit and creativity, any argument can be convincing and any idea can be great. Saturn is in Aries, adding some weight to our inclinations and impulses. Bask in the newness, air that is more electric and generative than it was last week; notice what comes to your mind or appears in your environment. Write these thoughts down, follow them, challenge yourself to develop them beyond their initial spark, and see what happens. Many may go nowhere, meant to stay at 0 degrees of Aries, 6 degrees of Gemini, but the ones that you follow deep can thrive this summer.

The Saturn-Neptune engagement is now fully in Aries and felt with more intensity. Here we are playing with what is real and what is imagined. What you think is possible is possible, until it isn’t; the limitations that you believe in are the limitations that you live under, until they’re not. Saturn-Neptune is an invisible wall; boundaries can be transcended, worked around, they may not have actually ever been there in the first place. On the other hand, what was previously taken for granted might reveal itself to be demanding or deeply challenging. Mercury rules this new moon, which occurs on the first full day of their Gemini transit. Gemini is Mercury’s domicile home and Jupiter’s detriment; Cancer is Jupiter’s exaltation home. So, these two weeks look like Mercury throwing a farewell party for Jupiter’s transit of Gemini, which began on about this day a year ago(May 26 2024). Jupiter in Gemini gives the time of day to anything, which is why it is fallen; nothing really grows because there is a lack of discernment and dedication, like a shark on Shark Tank investing in every product. Follow Mercury’s lead and enjoy the last moments of this transit. Jupiter in Cancer is more effective and more decisive, so the prospects from Gemini season that deserve deeper investment can prosper then.

To quickly acknowledge some undertones from the underworld; Mercury is trine Pluto, and the new moon is inconjunct Lilith. What develops right now is a part of Pluto’s slow brewing, transformative agenda, the impacts will last for a long time. Lilith is out of our line of sight, but demands that we don’t forget her. Resistant, in Scorpio, Lilith is reminding us to reject the spiritually disempowering. Scorpio has a self preservation instinct, and holds integrity and personal truth above all, no matter how alluring an offer of security or power may be; keep this sentiment in mind over the coming weeks.
